Wilma Marie Duffield Beasley, a long time resident of Maysel, passed away at the home of Joe and Donna Nicholas at Sizemore Trailer Park, Maysel, at 11:57 pm on June 2, 2006.
Born on January 28, 1920, in Clay County, she was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Cledith; sons, Dallas and Eugene; grandson, Jeffrey, and son-in-law, Earl Reed.
She was a retired cook on the riverboats, and of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Reed of Maysel; daughter, Connie Reid (John) of Dumfries, VA; sons, Tom (close friend - Pat Carte), Lloyd, and Ronnie (Donna) all of Clay; grandsons, Jimmy (Sommer) of Coxs Mills, WV, Jason (Cathy) of Middleboro, MA, (currently in active military duty in Iraq), Tommy (Dawn) of Cumberland, OH, Jeremy of Charleston, Joey of Massachusetts, Ryan of Clay, Eric and Brandon Carte of Clay, and Brian Lee Scott (active military duty in Germany); granddaughters, Jen of Massachusetts and Amy of Clay; great-granddaughters, Autumn of Coxs Mill, Jessica of Clay, Dallas Lee, Dakota, Liberty and Patience of Massachusetts, Kara, Karissa and Jesse of Massachusetts; great-grandson, Josh of Clay, Caleb of Cumberland, OH, and Matt and Chris of Massachusetts.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Gary Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in Clay Memorial Gardens.
