Theresa Marie (Hutchinson) Doss

Theresa Marie Doss, 70, of Montgomery, WV was called home to her precious saviour, Jesus on 1/28/2025. Theresa was born 9/11/1954 to Buddy Lee Hutchinson and Mary Elizabeth (Arthur) in Huntington, WV. 

Theresa was a caregiver for Johnson Valley Elderly in Gauley Bridge, WV for many years until retirement.  She was a beloved member of Brownsville Holiness Church. 

Theresa was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. 

She is rejoicing in heaven for her long awaited reunion with her parents Mary and Buddy, sister Terry Ponton, and son-and-law Demion Hunter.

She is survived by her loving husband John Doss Jr. of 54 years and children: Lisa (Demion Hunter), John Doss III, Angela (Kevin Brock), Jason Doss, and Casadie Doss. Also grandchildren: Jacob, Isaac, Kaylah, Joshua, Jerimiah, Emily, Rayden, Jada, JT, and Alyssa; her sisters Karen Skaggs  of Cleveland,  OH, Lynn Hutchinson Doss of Ronceverte, WV, Melanie Adkins of South Point, OH, Jamie Ponton of Huntington,  WV and Kimberly Hutchinson of Huntington, WV as well as many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

 Philippians 1:21-23 “For to me, to live is in Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour; yet what I shall choose wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ, which is far better.”

There will be a homecoming service Sunday, February 2nd at 4 pm at Glen Ferris Apostolic Church.  Pastor Chad Smailes and Pastor Nathan Johnson (Brownsville Holiness Church) officiating. 

Theresa's earthly body shall be laid to rest on Monday, February 3rd at 12 pm at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens in Glasgow, WV.
