Steven Bird Obituary
Steven Keith Bird, 57, of Kimberly, entered into rest Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at home.
He was born on June 25, 1952, in Gauley Bridge, and was a retired coal miner from Peabody Coal Company.
Survivors include his father, Junior Bird of Gauley Bridge; wife, Sherry McCallister Bird of Kimberly; daughter, Jessica Bird Richards of San Diego, CA; sons, Jeremy Lee Bird of St. Albans, WV and Steven Michael Bird, his wife, Teresa Dawn, and their two children, Emily Dawn and Niedra Lynn of Cannelton; brother, Mark Bird of Orgas, WV. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Lee and Michael David. His mother, Iona Bird,
followed him in death on January 1, 2010.
A joint funeral service with his mother will be 2 pm Monday, January 4, 2010, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Ministers Billy E. Morris, Lee Holliday and Charles Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
