Obituary
Ruth Marie Tucker, 77, of Summersville, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2021, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Maxwell and Blanche Dotson, and siblings Annabelle Sebert, John William (Bill) Dotson and Darrell Dotson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Chip (Ashley) Tucker of Beckley; brother, Maxwell (Priscilla) Dotson of Summersville; sister, Helen (Richard) Burdiss of Union; sister, Arlene Beirne of Summersville; grandchildren, Blake, Bryce, Ethan, Rylee, and Kinslee Tucker; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, going to the park, spending time with family and friends and her beloved cats.
Ruth had a smile for everyone she met. She saw the best in people and always had a positive outlook. She will be greatly missed, and her memory cherished always.
A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at a later date.
