Ruth H. Brown, 79, of Clay, entered into rest March 19, 2007, at Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Ivydale.
Born on July 14, 1927, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Z. T. and Ruth Whaling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burnell Brown.
She was a homemaker, and a member of the House of Prayer, Valley Fork.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Susan Coulter of Woodbridge, VA; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce Draught and Raymond Dalcourt of Albion, NY; Eileen and Gary Allen of Albion, NY, and Nancy and Kenneth Coombs of Sutton, WV; sister, Hazel Stover of Clay; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Thursday, March 22, 2007, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Anne Huddleston officiating. Burial will follow in Clay Memorial Gardens, Clay.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
