Roy Crites Jr. Obituary
Roy Samuel Crites Jr., 85, of Powellton, entered into rest, Saturday, September 16, 2017.
Born November 23,1931, in Birch River, WV, he was the son of the late Roy Samuel and Branna Marie Tinney. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Billy Crites; and sister, Evelyn Batten.
Roy served in the US Air Force for 3 Years, he was also a US Postal Service worker for many years at Montgomery.
Roy is survived by his sons, Mark Allen Crites of Charleston, and Michael Crites of Pratt; daughter, Tina Marie Petry of Beckley; brothers, Aubrey Crites of Fl., Robert “Bobby” Crites of Calif., Arthur Crites of Tenn., Jimmy Crites of Al.; grandchildren, Justin Michael Petry, Jeremy Scott Petry, Joshua Mark Petry, Steven Michael Crites, Chelsea Morgan Crites; great- grandchildren, Avah Marie Petry, Abram Scott Petry, Joseph Michael Petry, Silas James Maher, Mikey Crites and Joshua Crites.
Services will be held 7:30 P.M., Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Tim Bowers speaking.
Friends may gather with the family Thursday, September 21 begining at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
