Roger Lee Mullins

Roger Lee Mullins, 77 of Bentree went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 15th, 2024.

Roger was born on October 17th, 1946, to the late Neely and Celia (Holcomb) Mullins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ellis “Gabby” and Ronald Mullins; father and mother-in- law, Ewing Cluster Jones and Joy Nita Foster Jones Harrah; sister’s- in -law, Emma Lou Pritt Mullins, Cathy Samples Mullins and Wanda Jones; brother’s -in-law, Lloyd Lonzo Jones, James “Jim” Cluster Jones, Lessel Kirby Jones and Jerrel Wayne Elliot.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Karen Vena; son, Donald Lee (Virginia “Jeanie”) Mullins; daughter, Joy (Clayton) Krise; foster daughter, Shelly Drennen; 3 grandsons, Westley (Xiaoqing), Tyler and Austyn Mullins; 3 great grandson, Isaac, Declan and Leon Mullins; sister’s-in-law, Enith Gay Jones Elliot, Ethel (Freddie) Jones Coleman which he thought of them as sisters; several nieces, nephews, cousins, a lot of friends and a special friend, Adam Brown.

Roger was a member and a trustee at Bentree Community Church. He was a retired coal miner. Roger will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, at Bentree Community Church, Bentree, WV, visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with Mike Holcomb officiating. A burial will follow in the Simms Church Cemetery, Swiss, WV.
