Roberta Belmont Obituary

Roberta Belmont, 99, of Boomer, entered into rest Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at her home.

Born on February 2, 1916 in Powellton, She was the daughter of the late Hiram and Julia (Goodman) Patton. In addition to her Parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Belmont, daughters, Loretta Jean Bowles, Patricia Filiaggi, sons, Charles Belmont, John Belmont and Michael Belmont. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where she was a Catholic Daughter.

Roberta is survived by her sons, James (Nancy) Belmont of Gastonia, NC., Lawrence (Dorothy) Belmont of Boomer; Lonnie (Sandy) Belmont of Oak Hill; daughter, Mary Ann (Ross) Perkins of Cross Lanes; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Roberta was also mom to several others she helped raise, and she was always there for anyone in need.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Boomer. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park Cemetery, London.
