Richard D. Burford

Richard D. Burford, 63, of Gauley Bridge, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill surrounded by his family.

Born on December 2, 1953, he was the son of the late Zane Cameron and Doris (Crowe) Burford. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother; Rodney Burford, and nephew: Tracy Burford. Richard was a devoted Husband, Father, and grandfather.

He was a member of Lookout Baptist Church.

Richard is survived by his wife: Patricia Lynn (Hartwell) Burford; son: Christopher D. (Holli) Burford of Ansted; daughter: Melissa (Chad) Brewer of Beckley; grandchildren: Olivia , Zane Cameron II, Brody , Allison, Ava Lou, Colt Richard; brothers: Lee Burford of Oak Hill, Steve ( Della) Burford of East Bank; sister: Marsha Angel of Oak Hill, sister -in-law Debbie Burford; niece: Lorri Siemaczko; and nephews: John Mills, Jason Burford; and several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday December 23, 2016 at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge. With Minister Daniel Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV.

Friends may gather with the family one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
