Norma Nutter Obituary

Norma Ruth Nutter “Twin”, age 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 22, 2020 after an extended battle with congestive heart failure.  Born February 13, 1934 in Jodie to Ralph and Ruth Gray.  She married James O. Nutter July 24, 1954, who preceded her in death in 1995.

She is survived by son James “Gov” Nutter and wife Crystal of Jodie, two grandsons Dylan Roberts of Nettie, Wyatt Nutter of Jodie; one great- grandson Bentley of Summersville; sister Mary Lou Gardner of Charleston; sisters-in-law Sue Gray of Jodie, Mary Lee Partlow of Merritt Island, Florida; many nieces and nephews who she loved like her own.

Besides her parents and husband, Twin was preceded in death by sisters Eleanora Harvey, Rosalee White and twin Norene Groves; brother Earl “Bo” Gray, brothers-in-law Roy “Preacher” Harvey, Bencil “Dick” White, Wayne Surbaugh and Dick Gardner.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held 1 PM Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Rich Creek Cemetery with Danny Sears officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hubbard Hospice House https://www.hospicecarewv.org/make-donation/

We would like to thank a special niece who was more like a daughter, Pam Roberts (Mike) of Poe for the excellent care she gave Twin in her final days.
