Mary Imogene (Mullins) James, 82, of Bentree, entered into rest on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.
Born December 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Guy Mullins and Audra (Cadle) Mullins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. George O. James Sr.; son, Jesse W. James; brothers, Delmar G. Mullins, Elmer L. Mullins and Bobby E. Mullins.
She is survived by her son, Capt. George James Jr. of Talbotton, Ga.; daughters, Sandra G. Fairall of Looneyville, W.Va., and Cynthia K. Alstead of Brandon, Minn.; brothers, Roland A. Mullins of Lizemores, John Mullins of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; sisters, Kathleen Brown of Bentree and Irene Legg of Bentree; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday December 22, at Ida Baptist Church, Bentree, with Minister Don Dobbins officiating. Burial will follow in the Ida Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may gather with the family one hour prior to service at the Church.
