Mary Lucille Bird

Mary Lucille Bird, 74 passed away on May 27, 2024, in Charleston, WV.

She was born on April 1, 1950, in Adonijah to the late Worder and Elsie (Sizemore) Holcomb. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in the death by her husband, Vernon Calvin Bird and her siblings, Martha Truman, and Georgie Backus.

Mary is survived by her sons, Larry (Heather) Bird of Saint Albans, WV and Scott Bird of Boomer, WV; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Della Holcomb of Porters Creek, Arabelle Burns of Fayetteville, Maysel Truman of Lizemores, Ella Mae Bird of Alta; brothers, Everett Holcomb of Aleria and Herbert Holcomb of Summersville.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, June 3, 2024, at Pennington Smith Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, WV, with visitation two hours prior to the service from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Holcomb - Nichols Cemetery, Holcomb Ridge Road, Glen, WV.
