Margaret Alley Brown, 71, of Keslers Cross Lanes, Nicholas County, entered into rest Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at CAMC-Memorial Division.
Born on December 28, 1939, in Victor, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Lacy and Flora Edith (Moore) Alley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Harry Alley.
She was a retired Registered Nurse, having worked as a nurse for Dr .Abdul Mirza in Montgomery and retired from Montgomery General Hospital. She was a member of Bell Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Dixie, and a member of The Red Hat Society (The Dixie Divas).
Survivors include her husband, Billy Brown of Keslers Cross Lanes; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Rod Thomas of Mt. Nebo and Pamela and John Whitt of Keslers Cross Lanes; grandchildren, Amber Thomas of Powellton and Jamie Thomas of Mt. Nebo; step-children, Leslie (Steve) Koepsel of Pinch, Nancy (Steve) McGlothlin of Charlotte, NC; Linda (Toney) Forte of Midlothian, VA and Lori Brown of Bel Air, MD; 6 step-grandchildren; sisters, Doris (Ray) Nichols of Lizemores, Judy (Doug) Kincaid of Dixie, and Sally (T.R.) Wood of Dixie.
Funeral service will be 1 pm Friday, April 22, 2011, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Pastor Shane A. Wynn officiating. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Victor.
