Lon B Wilson Jr.

Lon B. Wilson Jr., 92, of Gauley Bridge, entered into rest, Sunday, February 25, 2018.

He was born July 10, 1925 in Diamond, WV, to the late Lon Wilson Sr., and Ethel (Meadows). In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Wilson; daughter, Sarah “Sally” Trent; son, John Wilson.

He was an Army Veteran, retired from E.I. DuPont of Belle as a chemist and a member of the Gauley Bridge United Methodist church.

Lon is survived by his sons, Joe Wilson of Louisa, Ky., and Jim Wilson of Mt. Hope; daughter, Sue Divita of Erlander, Ky., and Cecelia (Chuck) Welch of Gauley Bridge; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday March 1, at Gauley Bridge Baptist Church, Gauley Bridge, with John Divita officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.

Friends may gather with family one hour prior to the service at the church.
