Lillian (Ramsey) Backus

Lillian M. (Ramsey) Backus, 84, of Dixie, entered into rest Wednesday, October 18, 2017.

Born November 2, 1932 in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Elda (Morris) Ramsey. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, David H. Backus Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy and Darrell Backus; daughters, Barbara Waugh, Joyce (Frank) Elliott and Karen Ross; sister, Louise Ashenbaugh; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Pastor Shane Wynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Ramsey Cemetery, Bell Creek.

Friends may gather with the family one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
