Larry James Auxier passed away on September 14th in Charleston, West Virginia.
Larry was born on May 29th, 1949, to Collis Auxier and Ethel Atkins Auxier. He is survived by his wife Gladys, two daughters April Underwood and Amy Auxier, 6 grandkids and 13 great grandkids and his siblings, sisters Tiny Norman, Patricia Dorsey (Dale), Carolyn Adkins (Johnny) and his brother Vernon Auxier. Larry was proceeded in death by his father and mother Collis and Ethel two brothers, Jerry Auxier and Virgil Auxier and sister, Garnette Gibson.
Larry was an avid hunter and fisher; he loved the outdoors. Larry provided and cared for his family by working in the coal mines. Larry was a proud member of the UMWA. Larry’s favorite thing was quality family time. He especially was ecstatic around his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Larry gave his heart to God and was ready for his calling home. He will be greatly loved and missed by all.
A funeral is scheduled for Friday, September 22nd at 11:00am at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Victor, West Virginia. Larry wanted a grave side service so the service will be inside the mausoleum. We ask to not send flowers per Larry’s request.
