Kenneth Ray Horrocks (Lucky) (78), born on December 4, 1946, in Lansing WV was sent to his eternal home on June 16, 2025 peacefully alongside his loving family. He was the beloved son of James Charles and Runa Olive Horrocks.
Kenneth was known for always having a joke ready which brought smiles to every room he entered. His jokes, laughter, and loving heart will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and anyone who had the privilege to know him. His profound sense of humor is a part of him that will never be forgotten. He loved telling jokes, singing, playing the guitar, and working in his garage. He was the best pancake man around, if you ever tasted one, then you know.
Kenneth was a retired business owner and a veteran of the navy. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family making memories to last eternally. He was the owner of K&P trucking and spent most of his life working in the mines.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents James Charles and Runa Olive Horrocks. His sisters, Ruth Jones, Doris Brown, and Rose Stevens. His brothers, Bill Hess, Donnie, Tommy, Dallas, and Lee Horrocks. Along with his loving granddaughter Chelsie Horrocks.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Patsy (Mullins) Horrocks of 56 years who was the love of his life. Together they had 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Children: Michael Horrocks (Julie) of Dog Run WV, David Horrocks (Chassity) of Fayetteville WV, Tommy Horrocks (Danielle) of Dixie WV, Christal Brown (Eric) of Bentree WV, and daughter in law Cheryl Rinehart of Dixie WV. Kenneth’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Zachary Horrocks (Brooklyn), Katelyn Carte (Collin), Makayla Lanham (Austin), Alexa Horrocks, Landon Brown, Makenna Brown, Jordan Horrocks, and Jackson Young; and great-grandchildren: Oaklynn and Mylee Lanham, Wrenlee Horrocks, and Emery Carte.
He also leaves behind cherished nieces, nephews, and a special extended family, including Connie Preast, Kimberly Auth, Amanda Preast, and Dylan Preast (Kaitlyn, Maycey, Mia, Mallory).
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Bell Creek Baptist Church, with a visitation one hour prior, from 1:00–2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Victor, WV. Services will be officiated by John Cole.
