Kathryn Renee O'Dell

Kathryn Renee O’Dell 48 of Hominy Falls entered into rest on Monday December 8, 2025, surrounded by her family after a short illness.

Kathryn was born August 13,1977 to the late Chilton “PeeWee” and Sally Holcomb of Lizemores, WV.

Kathryn was a member of Urim Baptist Church Leivasy, WV and was an employee for Walmart for the past 20 years working in various positions ranging from manager to team lead and for the last ten years working at their Fayetteville location.

Kathryn was loved by everyone who knew her. The love she had for God, her husband, and family knew no bounds. Kathryn had many hobbies, when not traveling with her husband you could find her either sewing, crocheting, or making some kind of craft for someone!

Kathryn leaves behind the love of her life, her husband Michael O’Dell of Hominy Falls along with their children Michaela (Devin) Holcomb of Summersville, Hannah O’Dell of Huntington and one grandson Keyandre Kimbro also of Huntington along with all of her in laws whom she thought the world of, especially her father-in-law and mother-in-law. Kathryn also leaves behind two brothers: Charles Holcomb of Fayetteville, Chris Holcomb of Lizemores, and one sister Rebecca (Jerry) Auxier of Jodie. She leaves behind her niece Brittany (Dakota) Light of Jodie, nephew Jacob Bates of Jodie, Selene Holcomb of Sistersville, Anissa (Brandon) Simmons of Virginia, one great nephew Elliot Cox, one great niece Nora Jean and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who she was very close to.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday December 16, 2025, with visitation one hour prior to the service from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Pennington Smith Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge WV with Reverend Earl Elliot officiating.

Burial will take place at a later date at Stone Ridge Cemetery on Jim Stone Ridge, Lizemores WV.
