Karen Joyce (Cruikshanks) Cogar

Karen Joyce (Cruikshank) Cogar, 76, of Gauley Bridge, entered into rest on August 26, 2022.

Born on May 22, 1946, in Montgomery WV, she was the daughter of John W. Cruikshank and the late Elizabeth Helen (Underwood) Cruikshank which preceded her in death.

In addition to her father, John W. Cruikshank of Belva, she is also survived by her sister, Judy (Roger) Mitchem of Beckley; brother, John W (Mary) Cruikshank Jr of Cross Lanes; niece Jamie Mitchem of Beckley, which was like a daughter to her, other surviving family members, Amanda (Chris), Zachary and Gracie Skeens.

She was a former hairdresser, florist and a business owner.

She will be greatly miss by all who knew her.

Graveside service for Karen will be on Wednesday August 31, 2022, at 1:00 pm, a viewing for family and friends will be from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Restlawn Cemetery in Victor, WV, with Pastor Shane Wynn officiating.
