Judith Kay Brown, of Charlton Heights, died on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2014 at Bowers Hospice Home in Beckley with her family by her side after a long struggle with Alzheimer's and other ailments.
Born March 21, 1945 in Montgomery, she was the daughter of the late Boomer R. Plumley and Violet “Tiny” (Patton) Plumley.
Judy was a graduate of Gauley Bridge High School and West Virginia University. She retired from Montgomery General Hospital after working many years as a Clincal Medical Technologist.
She was a devout Christian and a member of Boomer Baptist Church her whole life.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Brown; her newborn sister, Debra Plumley; and her son, Steven Wallace.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Wallace of Charlton Heights; step-daughters, Stacy Moses of Oak Hill and Chanda Brown of Hillsville, VA; granddaughter Ariel Wallace of California; sisters, Barbara (Duffy) Boyd of Fayetteville, Carolyn Sue (David) Stanley of Beckley; brothers, Ronald R. Plumley of Brandon, FL, and Mark A. (Elizabeth) Plumley of Charlton Heights, and ex-husband, Eugene Wallace.
Funeral services will be held 1PM, Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge with Pastor David West officiating. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Walker Memorial Cemetery, Summersville.
