Juanita (Childers) Taylor

Juanita Taylor Juanita (Childers) Taylor, 94, of Ansted, entered into rest Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Raleigh General Hospital after an extended illness. Born March 2, 1922 in Dixie, she was the daughter of the late George Gordon and Annie Mae Childers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, William "Bill" and James E. Taylor; seven brothers; and three sisters. Juanita attended First Church of God, Alta, and was a seamstress and a clothing store clerk. Juanita is survived by sons, Roy (Martha) Taylor of Gauley Bridge, Jack (Patricia) Taylor of Ansted, Joe Taylor of Campbell’s Creek, Dave (Brenda) Taylor of Ansted, Dan (Janice) Taylor of Ansted or Sunday Road, Hico, and Roger (Janice) Taylor of Daniels; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge. Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor, with Minister Paul Young officiating.
