John Butler Obituary

John D. Butler, 95, of Nebo, WV, passed away Friday, April 22, 2005 at CAMC-Memorial Division.
He was born on Feb. 23, 1910, in Wallback to the late James W. Butler and Minnie Barnes Butler. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ada Nicholas Butler; infant son and daughter, Jackie Lee and Karen Sue Butler; second wife, Halsie Dawson Tanner Butler; brothers, Verily "Boone" Butler and Lemon Butler; and sisters, Lula Nichols and Lena Osborne.
He was a self-employed automobile collision repair technician, attended Nebo Baptist Church, and was a World War II Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his sister, Maggie Butler of Helena, OH; step-sons, Charles Tanner and Harold Tanner, both of Nebo, and Ronald Tanner of
Big Otter; several step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2005, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Dewey Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in the Ovapa Church of God Cemetery, Ovapa.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay.
