Jamie Lee (Samples) Olival 69 passed away peacefully with her girls by her side on January 14, 2024.
Jamie was a resident of Smithers, she was one of the most courageous and resilient people who had fought to live since 2007. She battled more than one person should have and always did it with grace and dignity.
She’s the daughter of the late James and Pauline Samples of Alta, she is reunited with her parents, sisters Dianna Jenkins, Victoria (Vicki) Franklin and brother James (Jimboy) Samples.
Left to keep her memory alive are daughters Tracy (Bill) Sharp of Big Chimney, Carrie (Tom) Jensen of Wedowee, AL. Grandchildren and Great Grandson who she loved with all her heart Jacob, Caitlyn and Oliver. Sister Joanna Harrell of Oriental,NC, Drema (Roger) Elswick of Dixie and Beth Graves of Charleston, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Family will welcome friends at Pennington-Smith Funeral home in Gauley Bridge Saturday, January 20, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm with services beginning at 1:00pm to be officiated by Reverend’s Jeff Floyd and Dana Jones.
Burial services to be at a later date.
The family would like to thank the entire staff on the 5th floor front and CAMC Memorial Hospital for their kindness and compassion while caring for our Mom.
