Iona Bird Obituary
Iona Mae Reed Bird, 75, of Gauley Bridge, WV, entered into rest January 1, 2010, at Montgomery General Extended Care Unit.
Born on March 3, 1934, in Putnam County, she was the daughter of the late George and Hazel Davis Reed. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Steven Keith, on December 30, 2009, Paul Lee and Michael David.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Junior Lee Bird of Gauley Bridge; son, Mark Nathan Bird of Orgas, WV; brother, Paul Reed of Sandston, VA; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A joint funeral service with her son will be 2 pm Monday, January 4, 2010, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, WV, with Ministers Billy E. Morris, Lee Holliday, and Charles Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
