Herbert Dean Obituary
Herbert Dean, 76, of Dixie, entered into rest, Tuesday, September 12, 2017.
Born January 16, 1941, in Rising Fawn, Georgia, he was the son of the late James and Dora (Castleberry) Dean. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by brother, Gene Dean; sisters, Peggy Curran and Wanda Sue Price
He served in the United States Army.
Herbert is survived by his loving wife, Minnie (Ferrell) Dean of Dixie; daughters, Kimberley Naylor of Drennan, Christina “Chrissy” Wooten of Dixie; brothers, William Dean of Alabama, Ronnie Dean of Missouri; sisters, Darlene Grodzki of Georgia; grandchildren, Brittany Thomas of Summersville, Kaitlin Naylor of Drennan, and Makayla Wooten of Dixie.
Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Minister Dennis Preast officiating. Burial will follow in the Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.
Friends may gather with the family at 11:30 a.m. prior to service at the funeral home.
