Emory J. Carte, 91, of Gauley Bridge, entered into rest Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at the Hubbard House in Charleston.
Born June 13, 1926, in Hico, he was the son of the late Jacob and Esty (Champ) Carte. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
Emory is survived by daughter, Angela and her husband Mark Deling and their two children, Athea and Kipp of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and his wife, companion and caregiver of 12 years, Anna Linton of Gauley Bridge. He is also survived by extended family of five children and a host of grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him, especially by his constant companion, his little dog, Cindel.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18, at Scrabble Creek House of Prayer Church, Scrabble Creek, Gauley Bridge, with Pastor Mike Lanham officiating. Burial will be at Montgomery Memorial Park, London, W.Va.
Friend may gather with the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
