Elizabeth Ann Harvey, 70 of Jodie, WV passed away at CAMC Memorial Division on July 25, 2014 after an extended illness surrounded by her family.
She was born July 7, 1944 in Bentree, WV and was a lifelong resident of Jodie, WV area. She was a former employee of Pizza Hut in Kanawha City and Charleston, WV, a former EMT and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy B. and Helen Dotson. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Don A. “Drew” Harvey of Jodie; her children, Tamala “Tammy” Johnson and John “Newy” Harvey of Jodie; Barva Queen and her husband Tracy of Charlton Heights; Anthony “Tony” Harvey and his companion Becky of Eleanor; foster brothers, Joe Fitzwater and his wife Nancy of Lima, OH; Virgil Lacy of Lancaster, OH and foster sister Judy Farnsworth of Buckhannon; grandchildren, Crystal Queen and Christopher “Chris” Queen of Charlton Heights; Liam Harvey and Keelyn Harvey of Gauley Bridge; step-grandchildren, Carmalena Harville and her husband Greg of Powellton; Scott Johnson and his wife Christina of Mt. Olive; Six step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, many extended family members and friends.
Gravesides services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday July 30, 2014 at the Rich Creek Cemetery, Jodie with Minister Tom McClung officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge.
The family would like to thank everyone at CAMC Memorial Hospital, especially the staff of Three North, Three East, MICU and the Emergency Department for excellent care they provided their loved one throughout her illness. They would also like to give a very special “Thank You” to Dr. Joe White and Dr. Ed Hamrick for the exemplary care and compassion for Mrs. Harvey. They also wish to Thank, A.J. Mullins, Jeff Nichols, Dave Sullivan and “Ottman” Craze and their many friends and spiritual brothers and sisters for all they have done for the family during their time of need not only now, but throughout her illness as well as Nurses and Physical Therapy Staff at Gentiva Home Health out of Summersville.
