Elizabeth "Helen" Cruikshank, 86, of Belva, entered into rest January 29, 2013, at CAMC-Memorial Division.
Born on October 22, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Locie
Holcomb Underwood. She is the last surviving of six children.
She was retired from the Nicholas County Board of Education, a member of the Bell Creek Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Dixie CEOS.
Survivors include her husband, John William "Bill" Cruikshank of Belva; children, Karen and Trent Waugh of Belva, Judy and Roger Mitchem of Beckley and John W. Jr. and Mary of Cross Lanes; granddaughter, Jamie Elizabeth Mitchem of Beckley; step-granddaughter, Amanda and Chris Skeens; step-great-grandchildren, Zachary and Gracie Skeens.
Funeral service will be 1 pm Friday, February 1, 2013, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Reverend Dennis Preast officiating. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
