Edith Irene Bennett

On Wednesday, 17 January 2024, Edie Bennett, 66 of Smithers WV was entered into rest. 

She left behind her 3 kids, Darrell, Amanda & Richard, along with 12 Grandkids, Numerous Great Grandkids, 2 Brothers and 5 Sisters.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Darrell Bennett, Mother Jelaine (Dolly) and Father Richard Orzechowski.

Edie loved her family and family functions. She also enjoyed crochet, front porch sitting and people watching. 

Thursday, 25 January 2024, this beautiful lady will be laid to rest beside the love of her life. She was a loving and protective Mother, Mother-in-Law, and Mamaw. She had a whole lot of fire inside that tiny little body of hers and could make you laugh till you wanted to pee yourself.

When she let you into her family, you knew you were special to her. She made sure of that! 

Fly high Edie and watch your Arse!

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Pennington Smith Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, WV, with Minister James Elmore officiating, visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Montgomery Memorial Park, London WV.
