Drema Estep Obituary

Drema Margaret Tuck Estep, 82, of Jodie went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 19, 2012, at home.
Born August 12, 1930, in Rainelle, WV, she was the daughter of the late Joe Tuck and Gladys Goldie Brown Milam Tuck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Leonard Dale (Bob) Estep, Sr.; five sisters, Katherine (Rene) Milam Boalt, (half sister) Mary (Sis) Tuck Reese, Mildred (Tiny) Tuck Robinson, Rosalee (Doody) Tuck Robinson and Maxine Tuck Killen Paige; three brothers, Joseph Lee (Burr) Tuck, Jr., William Edward (Shug) Tuck and Franklin Tuck.
Drema is survived by her loving children, Gloria Jean Estep Lair (Randall) of St. Albans, Diana Lea Estep Elswick (Rodney) of St. Albans, Leonard Dale Estep of Jodie and Timothy Allen Estep (Rita) of Jodie. She is also survived by one sister, Amanda "Mandy" Jane Sanner of Urchsville, OH. Also left to cherish her memory are seven grandchildren, Lettie Lair Yahnke, Penney Elswick Reyes, Stephanie Estep Nicholas, Gregory Dale Estep, Trent Adam Estep, Matthew Allen Estep and Alicia Dawn Estep Cherry; five great-grandchildren, Sophie Jean Yahnke, Ashley Nichole Reyes, Michael Lee Reyes, Alexis Nicholas and Anna Lynn Cherry, and her dear friend and companion, Ernest Persinger.
Mom's spirit of compassion and love for her family, friends and neighbors manifested itself in her contributions to us of her many beautiful quilts, expressions of poetry and unique crafts. These were truly a labor of love and will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Reverend Larry Skaggs officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Simms Memorial Methodist Church Cemetery, Swiss, WV.
The family would like to express our appreciation to Pat Elswick of Hospice Care for her loving care of our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W, Charleston, WV 25387-2536.
