Dorothy Mae (Harvey) Hess

Dorothy Mae ( Harvey) Hess, 98, of Jodie, went home to be with the Lord December 30, 2016 at Montgomery General Hospital Extended Care Unit.

Born on December 27, 1918, she was the daughter of the late John Scott Harvey and Martha (Morton) Harvey.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: Lovell Hess; and son: Homer Andrew Hess.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters: Nancy King of Greenville, SC., Carole Sue Compson ( Ernie) of Clifton, NV., Judith Samples (George) of Seville, OH., Dreama Truman (Roger) and Phyllis Painter both of Jodie, sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and eleven great great grandchildren.

She was a wonderful mother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all her family

Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2016 at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge. With Ministers Daniel Sears and Jeff Floyd. Burial will follow in the Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, WV.

Friends may gather with the family one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
