She was born in Bentree, WV as Dollie Marie Morton on November 14th, 1934, to the late George Henry Morton and Laura Symtha Holcomb. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Ray Elliott, and daughter-in-law Jerri Lynn Elliott, as well as all her siblings.

Dollie is survived by her two sons Randy Ray Elliott of Greensboro, NC, and Ronald Lee Elliott of Dixie, WV, three grandchildren Caitlin (Dustin) Williams of Elkview, WV, Austin Ray Elliott of Greensboro, NC, Cody Lee Elliott, of Beckley, WV and one great-grandchild Jeron Lee Williams, of Elkview, WV.

Dollie was a member of Dixie First Baptist Church. Prior to her illness she loved singing her favorite hymns there every chance she had.

Dollie dedicated herself to the Nicholas County Board of Education as a custodian at Dixie Grade School for well over 20 years. Dollie was an extremely hard worker and took pride in everything she did. Dollie was known for her green thumb and spent most of her springs and summers tending to her garden. She also loved cooking and baking for her family. Her most requested items were her hot bread rolls and Chocolate Texas Sheet Cake.

Dollie’s absolute pride and joy was her three grandchildren and great-grandchild.
