Daisy A. Shrewsbury

Daisy Shrewsbury, age 67 of Dixie, WV passed away on July 1st, 2023 after a long illness with dementia  and lung cancer.

She graduated from Gauley Bridge High School in 1974.  She also graduated from BridgeValley College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Anyone that knew Daisy knew that her family was her number one love but the ball field was her second love and second home. We also knew that Daisy never met a stranger, she knew and helped anyone she could.

She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene & Bernice Workman, her husband David Shrewsbury, her granddaughter Macy Shrewsbury, her sister Charlotte Facemire, her 2 brothers Brad & David Workman, her 2 brothers in laws Danny Sears & Junior Facemire.

Daisy is survived by her daughter Teena Hagan, her son Michael (Stacey) Shrewsbury, granddaughters Makayla & Aubrey Shrewsbury and grandsons Andrew Hagan & Bentley Bonds. She is also survived by her sister Shelia Sears, brothers Randall (Ruth Ann) Workman, Neal (Charlotte) Workman, Calvin (Peachie) Workman, Ernest (Trudy) Workman, Tommy (Myhaulina) Workman and sister-in-law Robin Workman.  She is survived by a bunch of nieces and nephews that she loved very much as well.

A memorial service for Daisy will be Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 4:00 pm at Shelia Sears resident, 182 Bell Creek Bottom Road, Dixie, WV for close family and friends.
