Charles was a coal miner for Midland Trail Energy.

Charles is survived by his parents James and Brenda (Kincaid) Prather of Gauley Bridge,; Wife Sarah Jane (Stover) Prather of Gauley Bridge, Sons: Charles Lee Prather Jr. and Joshua Shane Prather of Gauley Bridge, Daughter: Emily Grace Prather of Gauley Bridge, Brothers: James Prather Jr. of Powellton, Danny Prather of  Gauley Bridge, Sisters: Tammy Prather of Gauley Bridge, Roxana Prather of Belva, and Catherine Stewart of Gauley Bridge. One Granddaughter: Bailee Renee Tolliver of Brownsville.

Services will be held Saturday July 25, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge WV. With Rev. Jason Skaggs.

Visitation will be Saturday July 25, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Park London, WV
