Charles Phillip Heltman, 80, gained his heavenly wings on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.
He was a Vietnam Veteran, proudly serving the US Navy for 20 years. He was also a lineman for Bell Atlantic for almost 20 years; He was a past secretary for the Masonic Lodge in Madison. Charles also was a member of Gauley Bridge Baptist Church.
Charles leaves behind his loving bride of 52 years, Marvelene; daughter, Andrea (Jeremy) Whiteside and son Ryan (Christine) Heltman; four wonderful grandchildren, Damian (Keeley) Elswick, Matthew and Cassie Whiteside and Kelsey Heltman; brothers, James (Lynne) and Alfred (Ilene); and host of nieces and nephews; and Debby Heltman who thought of him as her dad.
There will be a celebration of his life for family and friends on Saturday, September 22, Gauley Bridge Baptist Church, at 11:00 am.
The family would like to thank his caregiver, Annie Skaggs, as well as the hospice team who so wonderfully cared for him.
