Cathy Ramonda (Harper) Truman

Cathy Ramonda Truman, 60, of Jodie, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at CAMC Memorial, following a long illness.

She was born November 14, 1964, in Montgomery, WV., a daughter of the late Homes Edward Harper and Virginia Catherine Harper.

Cathy was one of those special people who could brighten your day with just a smile. She never met a stranger and was always ready with a kind word or a helping hand for anyone who needed it. Her laughter was contagious, and she faced life’s challenges with courage and determination. She loved her family fiercely and lived for her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ira Truman, and her sister, Mary Armstrong.

She is survived by her children, David Truman and Jennifer Taylor; two grandchildren, Kaden Taylor and Riley Taylor; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, October 27, 2025, at Pennington Smith Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, WV with Gary Moore officiating with visitation two hours prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Rich Creek Cemetery, Jodie, WV.
