Carolyn S. (Lane) Drake

Carolyn S. (Lane) Drake, 78, of Dixie, WV, entered into rest on June 15, 2023, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV.

Born on October 23, 1944, to the late Okey and Dorothy (Robinson) Lane in Webster Springs, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Drake.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Yancey Drake of Dixie, WV.

Carolyn graduated from Nichols County High School, Class of 1962. She retired from Mount Olive Correction Center as a Secretary. She attended the Methodist Church.

The funeral service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Pennington Smith Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, WV, with Minister Gary Drake. Visitations for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Keen Cemetery, Newton, WV. In lieu of flowers send donations to your favorite Animal Shelter.
