Carmelita (Truman) Nichols

Carmelita (Truman) Nichols, 90, of Jodie, entered into rest February 18, 2018.

Born October 29, 1927, in Vaughan , she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lona Truman of Jodie.

Carmelita is survived by her son, James “Jimbo” Nichols, of Summersville; daughter, Christina “Jeanie” (Jack) Harvey of Raleigh, NC;  grandchildren, Nicholas ( Meredith) Harvey of Asheville, NC, and Amanda (Doug) Bordeaux of Raleigh, NC,  Christopher (Julie) Nichols of Mullins, Bethany Nichols of South Charleston; Five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 21, at Bell Creek Baptist Church, Dixie, with Ministers Shane Wynn and Jeff Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Victor.

Friends may gather with the family from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday, February 20, at Bell Creek Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank all the staff of Montgomery General Hospital for all the love and care they extended to Mom and her family for the final year of her life.
