Calvin "Pop" J. Stewart

Calvin J. “Pop” Stewart, 76, of Swiss, entered into rest Friday, August 16, 2019.
Born July 10, 1943 in Clay County, WV, he was the son of the late Duffy and Ida (Adkins) Stewart.  He was preceded in death by his sons Martin Stewart and Jessie Brooks; daughter Norma Jean Stewart; and sisters Drema Stewart and Mary Stone; brothers, Raymond and Billy Ray Stewart.

Calvin is survived by his wife Wanda (Elkins) Stewart; son Calvin Jessie of North Carolina; daughter Crystal Stewart Thomas; brothers David Guy Stewart of Lizemores, WV, Roger Stewart of Vaughan, WV, and James Adkins of Albany, NY; sister Virgie Jones of Vaughan, WV; special nephew John “Shorty” Stewart; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Gauley Bridge Baptist Church, Gauley Bridge, WV with Minister Justin Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Sims United Methodist Church Cemetery, Swiss, WV.
Friends may gather with the family at the church one hour prior to the service.
