Calvin Edward Trent Sr. 77, of Gauley Bridge, entered into rest Wednesday, February 13, 2019.
Born August 28, 1941, in Gamoca, in Fayette County, he was the son of the late Buford and Nona (Mink) Trent. Calvin married the love of his life, Barbara Jean Arthur, on December 2, 1961, until her passing on May 20, 2008, he was also preceded in death by his oldest grandson Sgt. Scott Angel; and five brothers, Buford, Herman, Lloyd, Danny and David Trent.
He was a Gauley Bridge town supervisor until he retired and a member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, Beaver.
Calvin was Korean War Vet serving in the Army and a lifelong resident of Gauley Bridge.
He leaves behind his four children; Elizabeth Jorettia Trent of Richmond, Va., Kathy Jane (Trent) Utz of Louisa, VA., Calvin Edward Trent Jr of Yakima, WA., Penny June (Trent) Pendleton of Princeton, WV; sister Margie Gray of Pinch, WV; three grandsons, Bryan Angel, Sean Duncan, Ryan Elkins, five granddaughters, Carrie Bowman, Emily Legg, Holly Tole, Samantha Pauley, Breanna Clark, nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held 2:30 P.M. Friday, February 15, at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, with Pastor Walter A. Pendleton officiating.
