Betty Morris Obituary
Betty Lee Morris, 72, of Cannelton, formerly of Lizemores, was welcomed through Heaven's gates on August 11, 2011 from CAMC-Memorial Division.
Born on October 10, 1938, in Fola, she was the daughter of the late William and Della (Brown) Jarrett. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Morris and Aaron Igo; son, James Willie Morris; four brothers and three sisters.
She was a homemaker and a member of Laurel Fork Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Beatrice Boggs of Canton, OH, Vernon Morris of Cannelton, Donald Morris, Jr. of Cannelton, George Morris of Ft. Knox, KY, Joe Morris of Kimberly, and Aaron Morris of Cannelton; sisters, Pearl Keiffer of Indore and Dorothy Olsen of Brackenville, TX; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 pm Sunday, August 14, 2011, at Laurel Fork Missionary Baptist Church, Lizemores, with Pastor Earl Elliott and Minister Naaman Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Jarrett Cemetery, Sycamore.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Saturday at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Laurel Fork Missionary Baptist Church.
