Mr. Arden Eugene West, 75, of Dixie, West Virginia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 17, 1950, he was the son of the late Isaac and Cynthia West.
Arden was a devoted husband to the late Dorothy West, with whom he shared 43 years of loving marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in family, faith, and quiet strength. A longtime member of Bell Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Arden lived his faith with humility and steadfastness.
He retired from Elkem Metals, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and camaraderie with coworkers. Arden’s life was marked by dedication—both to his profession and to the people he held dear.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Ronnie West.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lori Atkins (James); his grandsons, Colby and Corbin Atkins, who were his pride and joy; and his brother, Robert West (Lynn). Arden is also fondly remembered by special friends Jerry and Sharon Atkins, and Phyllis and Tim Blankenship, whose friendship was a great comfort and blessing throughout the years.
Arden will be remembered for his gentle nature, quiet wisdom, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
