Alfred Preast Obituary

Alfred Roosevelt "Pooch" Preast, 71, of Dixie, entered into rest July 7, 2011, at Summersville Regional Medical Center.
Born on October 23, 1939, in Charleston, he was the son of the late Willie and Lucille Blankenship Preast. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Rita, and his brother, Bud.
He was a coal miner.
Survivors include his daughter, Danelle Johnson of Kentucky; grandchildren, Anthony Douglas Arthur and wife, Kristy, of Falls View, with whom he made his home, Nikita Desiree Johnson and Levi Jordan Johnson, both of Summersville; brothers, Gary (Argatha) Preast of Florida, Bruce (Lynn) Preast of Cannelton; sister, Dorma Preast of Cannelton; nephew, Richard Preast of Brownsville, and many other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, July 13, 2011 at the Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge with Rev. Charles Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Rich Creek Cemetery, Jodie.
