Alexandria Moore Obituary

Alexandria "Allie" Nicole Moore, 9, of Clay died January 10 of injuries she received when struck by a truck on State Rt. 4 at Procious. She was a third grade student at Clay Elementary School.
Allie was dearly loved by everyone who knew her.
Allie is a former ballet student of Penny Musick of Montgomery. She was a former member of the Clay Cadets taught by Miss Donna Asbury. She was a member of 4-H and participated in the Clay County Agriculture Youth Fair for three years. Allie played T-Ball and Minor League Baseball for Reed Gas Company of Clay.
Allie has always been special and had gone through 10 surgeries over the years to deal with some birth defects. Her wonderful doctors have included Dr. Roger Nichols, Dr. Lavanya Shah, Dr. Tarakji, Dr. Lowery, Dr. Patnoe, Dr. Legg, Dr. Shah and Dr. Jayram. A special thank you to Dr. Vera Hoylman and Dr. Augusto Portillio. Those two doctors managed Allie's care. Dr. Portillio helped form Allie into the beautiful lady she was.
Allie is survived by her parents, Brian and Rene' Moore of Clay; her beloved little sister, Abbie, (who she always wanted to have); maternal grandparents, Clinton and Beverly Nichols of Clay; paternal grandparents, Eva and Steve Thomas of Hartland and James and Sue Moore of Monroe, NC; loving aunts and uncles, Christie and Brian Gould of Wilmington, NC, Aaron and Kyla Nichols, Jacob and Stacie Nichols of Greensville, SC, Sally and Elbert Morton, Melody Adkins, Jim Moore, Tami and Shane Stout, Jeannie Marez, Vickie Boylen, Debbie and Darrell Burd, and Mary and Jacom Bruce. Also surviving are her cousins; Tyler, Brittany, Brooklyn and Ballard Gould, Salem Nichols, Kendra and Colleen Boylen, Shelley Boylen and Mallory Boylen, Morgan and Katlyn Burd and Laney Moore.
Allie was the great-granddaughter of the late Dan and Nona Carper, Kelles and Beulah Nichols, Vernon and Ethel Adkins and Ervin and Viola Moore.
She also leaves behind many friends, which she loved.
A very special thanks to the people who stopped to help; Emily Samples, Colburn Hudnall and Mary Samples, to the EMS and First Responders that arrived, Chris Underwood, Steve Ware, Kim Rhodes and the others of you that I didn't know. Thanks to Emily Samples for getting Rene' and Beverly to the hospital. Thank you to God, for giving her to us for nine wonderful years.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Friday, January 13, 2006, at Clay First Baptist Church, with Minister Wayne Litton officiating, assisted by Minister Ralph Davis. Burial will follow in the Markle-Carper-Grose Cemetery, Blue Knob Rd., Maysel. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm on Thursday at Clay First Baptist Church.
