Music by The Piano Brothers

Barbara Jean (Parsons) Kincaid, 75, of Dixie, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 1, 2017.

Born on December 2, 1941, to Mack and late Hallie Parsons of Dixie, our beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother can now rest in her victory. Through her life, she maximized her gifts in education, music, loyalty and devotion just to name a few, to live her life’s motto of “Bloom Where You are Planted”.

Left to cherish her memory are beloved husband, of 52 years Mr. Bobby G. Kincaid of Dixie; her father, Mr. Mack M. Parsons of Dixie; her brother, Mr. Mack E. Parsons with his wife Vivian of Charleston; her son, Mr. Robert M. Kincaid with his wife Jennifer of Beckley; her son, Dr. Eric R. Kincaid with his wife Marcie of Morgantown. She also leaves behind 4 beautiful grandchildren, Brett Gadomski, Laken Kincaid, Robbie Kincaid, and Katie Kincaid.

Our hearts break but our souls rejoice because now she can “Run and not be weary, she can walk and not faint.” Her life resonated with her Savior’s traits of humility, grace, kindness, and sincerity.

She fought the good fight, she has finished her course, and she kept her faith. She will forever bask in the Glory of her perfection with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Those of us who are left can honor her memory by following her example; Lets “bloom where we are planted.”

The family would like to give a special thanks to Pat Elswick with Kanawha Hospice.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Bell Creek Baptist Church in Dixie, with Pastor Shane Wynn officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Ansted.

Friends may call one hour prior to service at the Bell Creek Baptist Church, Dixie.

In 1962 as a new freshman at Glenville College, I met an angel by the name of Barbara Parsons. I had not been assigned a "big sister", so she adopted me. I have never forgotten how she helped me settle in and not be so scared and lonely. I've thought of her often over the years. She truly did brighten the corner where she was and mine, too. So sorry for your loss, and glad for Heaven's and her gain. Love and Prayers, Barbara

It is difficult to know just what to say about Barbara Parsons Kincaid after so many years...We were just married in July 1958 and were beginning our first ministry at Belle Creek Baptist Church at Dixie, WV...and Barbara was a faithful teenager in the church...We were only there one year or so, but long enough to get to know what a special young lady Barbara was...Through the years we have often heard inspiring reports of her life and good works...as she followed in the faithful footsteps or her mother and daddy...We loved them all and have been blessed by their influence on us thru the years.

We extend our deepest sympathy to all her family and will keep them close in our thoughts and prayers...May our Heavenly Father bless each one with His tender loving care of peace, courage and strength through the lonely days of loss ahead.

Love and prayers,
Glenn and Fleta Mathews

Bob, I am Sandy Miller who lived in Rand and became friends with Barb. I know she will be missed. I remember her laugh and her smile. She was a very caring teacher. I did not have her as a teacher (my brother and sister did) but I was her assistant and helped checking and grading papers for her) and I had for some reason had her on my mind lately. I had a doctor's appointment this morning (have a torn rotator cup, arthritic knees and hips so and could not attend services. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
