Jack R. Sergent, 83, of Dunbar, WV passed away on August 22, 2015 in Charleston, WV. He was born on October 11, 1931 to the late Jessie James and Thelma (Barnett) Sergent.

Jack served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.

He is survived by a son: Wayne Sergent of Flordia, and a daughter: Jacqueline Sergent of Pennsylvania and sisters: Joan Meadows and Jessie Blankenship of Louisianna. He had a large extended family including 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-laws.

A heartfelt thanks go to the Doctors and Nurses at CAMC Memorial.

Services will be held at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, WV on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, WV

Visitation will be Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Pennington Funeral Home from 12 to 1 P.M.

I can almost feel your heart breaking Jacqueline and I wish there was something more I could do to help you with this huge loss in your life, but I am making myself available to you for anything at any time. And in memory of your Dad and his service in the USMC, and to help other service members in their quest to heal and live on for all their military brethren, we are making a contribution in his name to Wounded Warrior Project.
