Irene Morton Summers, 92, of Kincaid passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born October 18, 1922, in Clay County she was the daughter of the late Okey and Dottie Lanham. 

In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her first husband, Sam Morton; second husband, Rev. C.D. Summers; and brothers, Carl Lanham and Nelson Lanham.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sharon Morton of Kincaid; son, Robert Morton and his wife, Janet of NC; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Freda Lee Sizemore of PA, Lillie Stewart of OH; brother, Marion Lanham of Beckley; caregivers, James and Ruth Lanham of Boomer; special friends, Beverly and Wayne Johnston; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Service will take place 1 PM on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with the Pastor Greg Hurley officiating.  Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
