Thank You for the many years of service that you gave to the U.S. Postal Service and to the community of Oak Hill WV.

O God of grace and glory, we remember before you this day our brother Bert O'Dell. We thank you for giving him to us, his family and friends, to know and to love as a companion on our earthly pilgrimage. In your boundless compassion, console us who mourn. Give us faith to see in death the gate of eternal life, so that in quiet confidence we may continue our course on earth, until, by your call, we are reunited with those who have gone before; through Jesus Christ our Lord

Bert was a letter carrier brother we had never met, yet we connected online. We appreciated his intelligence on work issues, his kind heart, his wit and his rock & roll knowledge. His online postal friends are missing him badly and extend their sincere condolences to his family.

Hello, I met Bert online from another friend. We bought cameras at the same time and since then, took pictures of birds and squirrels and shared them. I knew he had some health issues but I thought he was recovering and managing them well. I found out on March 10th,2015 and am sorry to lose my friend who obviously liked the "THINGS OF GOD". Though I did not know Bert well, I knew him well enough to call him my friend. My only hope now is that he gets front row seats to hear the angels sing...
