Burlan Clyde Vance, 90, of Gauley Bridge, entered into rest December 31, 2010, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born on November 27, 1920, he was the son of the late Charles and Irene Vance. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Louella.
He was a retired drill operator for Cedar Coal Company, a member of Mammoth Pentecostal Holiness Church and a World War II Army Veteran.
Survivors include his daughters, Lesa Garten, Patsy (Kenneth ) Sullivan and Sue Thomas, all of Gauley Bridge, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Per Mr. Vance's request, there will be no services.
