Dick Starcher, 81, of Akron, OH, went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2005, at City Hospital in Akron.
He was born on April 9, 1924, in Clay, to the late Lash Starcher and Mary Green Rolyson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two daughters, Pamela Sue and Danita Ann.
He was a retired landscaper for Starrs Lawnservice, and a World War II
Navy Veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Deloris (Duffield) Starcher of Akron; step-son, Rick (Kathy) Duffield of Norton, OH; sons, Daniel Starcher and Joseph Starcher, both of Akron; daughters, Ellen (Paul) Jackson of Virginia, Daisy (Carlson) Boyce of West Virginia, Carol (Don) Falls of West Virginia, Vickie Adams of Akron, Joyce (Robert) Stouffer of Pennsylvania, Penny Bishop of Akron, Teresa (John) Wolfe of Barberton; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, June 13, 2005, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Herbert Vance officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Cemetery, O'Brion, Duck, WV.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
